Recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage! Along with the more than 20 other Dutch boat parades, we are proud of this recognition. A boat parade is more—much more—than just a procession of beautiful, captivating, and entertaining boats.
It is a social and creative process in which young and old work together and culture is shared and passed on; this strengthens the social cohesion of a community.
On this “Zeilende Westlander” from the Loosduins Museum, towed by Aad van Zeijl’s “Floortje” (this “Zeilende Westlander” has no engine), the combination, arrangement, and vocals of “Komfort & Joy” are truly beautiful.

DJD Dance
We are DJD-dance from Wateringen and are part of the De Jolige Druif Carnival Association. We practice every week to put on performances during Carnival for children, teenagers, seniors, and people with disabilities.
We also compete in dance competitions organized by the Dutch Dance Sport Organization and have been Dutch Champions for several years in a row.
In addition, we have also achieved success on the international stage; in various age groups, we recently competed in the European Championships in Malmedy, Belgium.
We are incredibly proud to be able to compete at both the national and international levels! We are delighted to welcome everyone back to this fantastic regional event!
We hope you all enjoy watching!
