From the impressive structure to the graceful tails, from the Phoenix’s head to the costumes—every detail has been created with passion and precision. Even the choreography? That comes straight from our own creative minds!
🌸 Did you know that this boat consists of:
- no fewer than 10,000 flower stems
- 7,000 pieces of fruit and vegetables
- 2,500 plants
- and about 100 meters of fabric
A true living work of art, then!
Behind this spectacle is a team of 40 dedicated volunteers and 50 committed sponsors who have worked together to make this dream a reality in Honselersdijk. Preparations began as early as late February. In the last three weekends before the parade, everything comes together: building, decorating, covering, painting… and eventually—layer by layer—the Phoenix you see now takes shape.
